Written by Victor

Hey Guys, so you’ve finally decided to get on the bandwagon and ride it all the way to the revival of music? Alright! It’s time you start finding out what it takes to start and operate your own radio station on Mac OS X.

What you’ll need (to consider):

  • static IP bandwidth
  • a dedicated server (os x client software will do)
  • capitol ($40 + $15 = $55)
  • nicecast from rogueamoeba.com
  • now_playing plug-in from http://brandon.fuller.name/archives/hacks/nowplaying/itunes/mac/
  • MAMP from living-e AG (google it)
  • drupal from drupal.org or joomla from joomla.org (choose you’re CMS wisely)

Now, you have a list of all the things you need to consider and you have already bounced around online to look at these leads to try and find out if you can commit to this but look at this first…

yourboyvic.com

if you wanna do something like that site, get the items on the list above ready and stand-by for part two. If you need help obtaining any of the items above, just holler!
